Article I
Name of Organization – CRM Connect - A non-profit organization registered in the state of NJ.  The CRM Connect, also known as the “CRM Connect EBS, Siebel, PeopleSoft, Fusion Special Interest Group”, is a not-for-profit organization.
 

Article II
Purpose & ObjectivesOur purpose is to provide opportunities to enlighten and educate our members on current and future functionality of Oracle CRM products, in the areas of but not limited to Oracle EBS, Oracle Siebel, Oracle PeopleSoft and Oracle Fusion CRM, while offering a forum for peers to share their experience and knowledge in the use of Oracle CRM products.  As part of our commitment, meetings will be conducted at the Collaborate & Oracle Open World and other identified conferences and gatherings, per year, to allow for a robust offering of programs to meet the requirements of our diverse membership.CRM Connect will create and proactively manage a vibrant web community to keep the members informed of latest events and news, and allow them to participate in webinars and other informative sessions online. Our goal is to keep the website current with relevant CRM information and be an authoritative source of information in the areas of Oracle CRM. CRM Connect board and committee members will also take active role in creating and facilitating local events to foster information sharing and creating a strong user community.

Article III
Membership
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in using Oracle CRM with Oracle Applications, with no dues for membership fees. The events and conference may require fees and sponsorship to make CRM connect a self sustaining organization. Article IV
OAUG Affiliation
In order to maintain its affiliation with the OAUG in good standing, the CRM Connect will:

  • Provide the OAUG with properly Group Affiliation Forms on an annual basis, or as required.
  • Provide the OAUG with group membership information annually and group contact information on an ongoing basis.
  • Promote OAUG Membership and ongoing relationship development between group members and OAUG.
  • Conduct two meetings per year.
  • Maintain group records and meeting minutes in accordance to set by-laws.
Article V
Elected Officers
CRM Connect will be led by a Board of ten members, elected by the general membership and one nominated as the Oracle Liaison.  The Board positions will serve for a term of two years.  To ensure continuity of the Board, only four seats will be open for election every year. In an event of a board member’s resignation, the election will be held immediately, or the board may choose to identify another individual to complete the reminder of the term.
  • Chairperson: The Chairperson will function as the spokesperson for this group and as such is an important representative of the group as well as the OAUG. The Chairperson is also the officer responsible for the management and maintenance of membership lists.
     
  • Vice Chairperson: The Vice Chairperson is responsible for assisting and supporting the Chairperson in all capacities, as well as assuming the responsibilities of the Chairperson if he/she should be unavailable.  The Vice Chairperson also may identify one or more objectives for the group to focus during his or her term such as increasing the group’s membership or improving meetings and participation.
     
  • Secretary: The Secretary is responsible for recording and documenting information discussed and decided upon at all OBISIG meetings, publishing meeting minutes, managing the action item list, and maintaining all other documents.
     
  • Event Coordinator: The event coordinator is responsible for coordinating all events outside OAUG and OOW. The event coordinator is responsible for local events, webinar logistics and other areas of coordination. The individual is providing the leadership to manage these activities. This role can be delegated time to time – on a per event basis, however, it is this person’s responsibilities to have the overall ownership.
     
  • Meeting Coordinator: The Meeting Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling, planning, and coordination of all CRM connect meetings and other scheduled activities such as conference calls.  This may include weekly meetings, meetings at OAUG conferences, and more frequent regional meetings.
     
  • PeopleSoft SIG Chair: The individual in this role is responsible for all the PeopleSoft content across all activities and the relationship amongst the user community. This individual works hand in hand with other board members in developing PeopleSoft specific programs. It is this person’s responsibility to develop the PeopleSoft community and manage their needs.    
                                                                                                                                           
  • Siebel SIG Chair: The individual in this role is responsible for all the Siebel content across all activities and the relationship amongst the user community. This individual works hand in hand with other board members in developing PeopleSoft specific programs. It is this person’s responsibility to develop the PeopleSoft community and manage their needs.
  • EBS activities coordinator: The individual in this role is responsible for all the EBS content across all activities and the relationship amongst the user community. This individual works hand in hand with other board members in developing EBS specific programs. It is this person’s responsibility to develop the PeopleSoft community and manage their needs.
  • Website Coordinator: The Website Coordinator is responsible for the development and maintenance of the CRM Connect Web site. The individual works with the content creators from all the other Special interest groups and provides administrative and maintenance support.
     
  • Communications Coordinator: The Communications Coordinator is responsible for drafting messages to be posted to the CRM connect List Server, and other means of communication among members. The Communications Coordinator may solicit assistance from other members to form a communications staff.
     
  • Oracle Liaison: The Oracle Liaison is an employee of Oracle Corporation who has responsibilities associated with the focus of the CRM connect and is interested in the topics addressed by this group.  This individual acts as a resource to the CRM connect by providing a direct contact within Oracle to obtain answers to questions or concerns related to Oracle Corporation and software, assisting with obtaining Oracle resources to participate in meetings, and providing overall support of the group functions from Oracle Corporation. Typically, a group selects one Oracle Liaison from Oracle Corporation who would serve as long as Oracle management permits or until the group requests a change.

There will be other opportunities within the CRM connect community to volunteer, to hold positions and play a role essential in facilitating smooth operations. These roles and responsibilities may be provided by the volunteers on a per need basis. These positions may not be elected positions however they may be positions with tenure of one year or more.

Article VI
Board Member Policies and Contingencies

  • In the event of a vacancy on the Board by reason of death or resignation or dismissal, said position shall be filled by majority vote of the BOD for the balance of the term.
  • As a goal, the Board Members should be comprised of
    • No less than three, as Applications Users, and
    • No more than Six, as Consultants or Suppliers.
